Job Description

We are seeking a Quality Management Systems (QMS) Engineer to join a client in Fort Worth, TX. This is a full-time, direct hire position. The role is 100% onsite.

The Quality Management System (QMS) Engineer is responsible for developing, maintaining, and continuously improving Quality Management Systems to ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations. This role partners closely with engineering, manufacturing, operations, and customer quality teams to drive quality excellence, manage audits and certifications, resolve quality issues, and support continuous improvement initiatives across the organization.

The ideal candidate is a proactive quality professional with strong expertise in ISO standards, audit management, root cause analysis, and cross-functional collaboration within a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Quality Management System & Compliance

  • Manage and maintain compliance with ISO 9001, QC080000, and other applicable quality management standards.
  • Coordinate external certification activities and serve as the primary liaison with certification bodies and third-party auditors.
  • Lead UL safety compliance activities and ensure ongoing adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Support the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of quality management processes and procedures.

Audit Management

  • Plan, conduct, and manage Internal Audits (IA) and Management Review Meetings (MRM), ensuring timely closure of findings and corrective actions.
  • Coordinate and support customer audits, third-party audits, and certification audits.
  • Lead ESD internal audits and manage related certification activities.
  • Support NVIDIA SCAR, 8D, QPA, and other customer-specific quality audit requirements.

Change Management & Quality Improvement

  • Review Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) and Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) to ensure quality requirements are met and actions are effectively implemented.
  • Facilitate weekly ECO review meetings, track action items, and provide status updates to stakeholders.
  • Monitor and drive closure of quality-related corrective and preventive actions.
  • Conduct root cause analysis of quality issues and implement sustainable corrective actions.

Customer Quality & Manufacturing Support

  • Manage customer quality assessment programs and on-site customer audit activities.
  • Support product and process qualification activities, including manufacturing line qualifications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify quality risks, improve processes, and enhance product reliability.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using quality tools, metrics, and data-driven decision-making.

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Manufacturing, or a related technical discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in engineering, quality, manufacturing, or product development environments.
  • Minimum of 2 years of leadership, supervisory, or project leadership experience.

Technical Expertise

  • Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001, IATF 16949, QC080000, and related quality management standards.
  • Experience conducting internal and external audits in accordance with established QMS standards.
  • Proficiency with quality tools and methodologies, including root cause analysis, CAPA, 8D, and statistical process improvement techniques.
  • Working knowledge of Minitab and other quality management software applications.
  • Familiarity with engineering change management processes (ECR/ECO).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), ISO Lead Auditor, or equivalent quality certification.
  • Experience with UL safety standards and ESD compliance programs.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, Black Belt, or equivalent continuous improvement certification.
  • Experience supporting customer quality requirements within electronics manufacturing or high-tech industries.
